what is mean cause for organizing second  and third council   time, period, sponsor by whom and value . ?

the imminent reason for the reason for the 2^nd Buddhist council was behavior of vijjipttaka monks , Buddhism in the kingdom of magadha and kosala were at the waning side during the day of kalasoka. Vijji monks who tried to amend the minor vinaya rules . vajji monks were did enough convince the public about their new suggestion. So it was very hard for traditionalist to go against the changes of the Buddhist vinaya. On the other hand, kalasoka has no much knowledge on Buddhism. Theravadadins could not win the support of the king kaasoka ta the beginning. There were some social aspects hat influenced the vajjns to make amendment to the vinaya.

  1.  Just after three month Buddha pass away first conical arised because of Sabbhada of old monk. Sponsor by Ajatasttu and leader of council Mahakassapa about 500 monks. Value of vinaya and sutanda pitakas

Vinaya=  namely Parajika, pacittiya, cullavagga, mahavagga, parivara

Sutta= Digha nikaya, majjhima nikaya, samyutta nikaya, angutra nikaya and khudakanikaya.

The most important result of the first council is the purifying of the order as well as the collection of the pali canon vinaya pitaka and sutta pitaka.

2. 2^nd Buddhist council took palace one hundred years after the demise of buddha. Sponsor by king kalasoka in magada at valukaramana , course of vijji monk try to change vinaya rule.  about 700 monks leader by mahasanghika . value – dhamma and vinaya. at the end of  this council there were split in to two group theravada and mahasaghika.

3 at pataliputra third council raised after 280 two hundred and eighteen years after passing away of buddha. Sponsor by king Asoka . moggaliputta tissa thera lead to council selected one thousand arahants 1000. The value of this council leader monk wrote katavatthu pakarana and king asoka sent the Buddhist missionaries to nie reigns
